Mayabunder is a town and a county in the northern part of Middle Andaman, The name is also spelled Maya Bunder or Maya Bandar.The land of pristine woods, with turquoise waters and rich diversity of flora and fauna, the mangrove creeks and orange plantations of Mayabunder is a siren call to all those who love nature. Some 275 km away from Port Blair and around three hours far from Rangat, the beautiful Mayabunder Island is an incredible place for a beach holiday.

Entry into Mayabunder is from Port Blair by road or sea both. Sea connectivity is Once or Twice in a week from Port Blair by ferries calls here "en route to Diglipur". Morning bus services are also available between Port Blair and Mayabunder, It is hassle free and generally is take about 10-11 hours to reach Mayabunder by passes through Jarawa reserves on the west coasts of South and Middle Andaman and Rangat.
